What are the Social Responsibility challenges of Agência Mercado?
Taking an active role in society and contributing to a more inclusive community is part of the strategic objectives of Agência Mercado.
At our scale, we intend to be an agent of change, differentiation and innovation making use of the skills at our disposal.
What have we done?
In 2016, we identified an association with a remarkable and needed work – Hepaturix, the National Association of Children and Young People Transplanted or with Liver Diseases.
Our contribution to the association was to offer the creation of illustrations of the children’s book – Será Príncipe ou Principite? Edited by Chiado Editora in November 2016.
The work demystifies the fears in a language appropriate for children with chronic illness, with a sense of humor and always in an optimistic view. Tell us the story of Oscar, a boy who changes color every day and want to be like all the other boys. In a metaphor for the transplant process, Oscar’s mother takes him on a long journey in which he meets an Eastern Magician who helps him to fulfill his greatest desire.
This project is a pioneer in Portugal have already been translated into braille and sign language and launched a 2nd edition.
The story of the book was written by Margarida Castelão Dias and fully illustrated by Marta Duarte, illustrator of Agência Mercado.
The sales value of the book reverts to Hepaturix.
